  • One explaination of saying bless you is that when you sneeze your soul flys out of your body. Someone says bless you to keep the devil from entering your body and get your soul back in.

    JW don't believe in superstitions.

  • I'm a JW, we dont say God bless you when someone sneezes because it is a superstition and as gaill mentioned we dont believe in them. But when someone says it to us, we do say thank you because we know that they dont mean any harm by it.

  • So I'd fit in with the JW's...well, except that whole not believing in any sort of god thing. I think it is a stupid social convention. I do not acknowledge bodily functions in that manner and prefer people not acknowledge mine. It's a sneeze, let's move on with our lives now. You do what you feel ya gotta do, but frankly the next stranger who screams at me in public because I do not do this, I'm just going to slap the bitch and walk away.
