Has anyone heard if Mississippi River traffic has been shut down?

Do you know what comes in through those ports? *I am asking, I don't know.* :)

  • Why would river traffic be shut down?
Grain, coal, other things are shipped on the river.

  • Because the oil slick is approaching the river and they need to clean it out. I am trying to find out if this is real or internet rumor. :)

  • The slick is approaching the mouth of the river, but I've not heard anything about river traffic being shut down.
