How long before you went into labor did you have loose stools?

Mayby tmi... I saw a different post amd was wondering if its normal to have loose or soft stools nefore labor begins? Iv been this way for two or three weeks now in preterm labor. I dont think its anything im eating cause im on a gestational diabetes diet of lots of whole grain which i would think would make.. Umm... Not so soft stools? Lol.

I know its an early sign of labor but how early? Right now its like soft clay maybe? Or do you get full blown diarreah before? And at what week would this normally start?

  • Nope never did with both. I was always constipated and it did not change till after I had my babies. No it is not always normal.

  • I started having them 2 weeks ago, but I'm only 31 weeks pregnant now...yeah, I don't expect to go into labor any time soon.

  • Never had that. I was constipated until I took castor oil.

  • I had them DURING labor. For about 2 hours towards the end I was waddling my way to the bathroom every 20 min or so.

  • I don't think there is anything definitive to say about this....I never had them. It could be your diet. Combined with how much you are drinking as well.
