  • We LOVE ours! He's the biggest baby and absolutely adores humans of any age, the only problem being that he is big enough to knock over an infant or toddler. He's also a bit of a thief when food is left unattended and in his reach.

Yes, they DO shed, enough to make a fur coat for another dog, every spring & fall. Daily brushings help a lot. Nanook also love to run around our fenced in yard with the other dogs but he can settle down easily enough.

As for cost, I'm assuming you mean food. We buy Diamond brand dog food, he does best on the Lamb & Rice formula. It runs almost $30 for a 40 lb. bag. I don't know exactly how much one dog would use in a month because we have 3 dogs and it takes them 3 weeks to go through that 40 lbs. but one dog gets less than the others.

  • Huskies are high energy breeds. They need lots of exercise as well. They don't do well on crap food. It has to be food that you don't get at the grocery store, so no Ol Roy, Pedigree, absolutely NO Purina products whatsoever.

They shed a ton and need daily brushing.

As with any dog, good training, good socialization, proper treatment and love will help you to have a good dog. If you dump the dog outside, don't train it, don't socialize it, beat it and starve it and you will have the potential to have a serious problem on your hands.

BTW bread is the stuff you eat. Breed is what type a dog is.
