How do you dispose of old TVs?

One of our TV's "died". We have a new one to replace it, but we don't know what to do with the old one. Do we put it at the road for the garbage men to pick up or is there a place you are supposed to take them. Thanks.

It would really feel nice to recreate the scene from Office Space where Peter takes Michael Bolton and Samir to beat the crap out of the office copy (or fax) machine...but I'm pretty sure that's a no-no.

  • Orrrrrrr you could go ahead and beat the crap out of it. It'll be easier to dispose of cause it'll be in pieces.
