Which diapers are best?

I buy pampers swaddlers for my baby (3 months) but they're pretty expensive. I also tried luvs but for some reason they give her a rash. I dont want to try any of the store brands because I'm afraid if she might get an uglier rash. Anyone had good experiences with store brand? Let me know.

  • why not try cloth & see if that helps baby's skin?

  • with my daughter, she had sensitibe skin and could only wear pampers. the store brands would give her a chemical burn, so we switched to cloth, and love it so much that we now use the same cloth diapers on our son, and will be using cloth on this next baby as well.

  • I'm secretly (not so much anymore) afraid of cloth diapers.

  • If she broke out with Luvs, she might have a reaction to anything other than the Pampers. People I've spoken to whose babies have broken out with certain diapers, it's usually cheaper diapers -- like store brand. But there's no way to know for sure unless you try.

  • What about Pamper's Baby Dry? They're cheaper than Swaddlers. Otherwise I would say, Target diapers are terrible in my experience and Walmart is better, I still like name brand diapers the best though. I tried all kinds of store diapers with my first, but now I just use name brand, which ever kind I have a coupon for. My nephew had sensitive skin and got rashes from Huggies but did fine with the Walmart diapers, so it might be worth trying a small bag of those.

  • no. i used pampers as much as possible. i tried Huggies and she must be allergic to them because she breaks out REALLY bad. I have even noticed it with the Huggies swim diapers. Luvs are a little better. She use to break out some with those, but not as bad or as consistently - but they ALWAYS leaked. So, I stuck with pampers because they worked. I have recently tried Luvs again and she is doing well with them, but almost everytime she gets up inthe AM or from nap, she is SOAKED! Like...enough to get you wet with it just by holding her. For every once in awhile we have used off brands, but those were just times when we were super broke and couldnt get pampers. I think you just have to do what works for your baby.
