  • Sit down and plan out your meals before you go. Stick to your menus. Only buy what you need. Say you buy 5 lbs. of ground beef, separate that into 1 lb each. If you are going to make three dinners that require frying the hamburger, go ahead and do that and freeze them into 1 lb. That will give you three lbs of ground beef to make your dinners. With the remaining 2 lbs, you make something such as a meatloaf, use one helping for dinner and use the next for sandwiches the next day. Or fry it all up and use it as needed throughout the week. Ground beef is actually not that bad for you, as long as you drain off all the fat and make it into good meals.

  • Chili and corn bread, very cheap, just get jiffy corn bread mix, ranch style beans or chili beans, a lb of hamburger meat, a paket of Chili seasoning and a can of tomato sauce. We eat that quite a bit! Also Spaghetti, baked chicken w a veggie and potaoes, tacos and spanish rice. And with these you can buy hamburger in bulk and split it and freeze it like the other ppl said. We eat alot of hamburger meat! Hope this helped!
