  • when you read the verses preceding and after... it will have a whole different meaning then when standing alone!
    This is speaking to the religious assemblies of today, it is not talking to the church that truly have their eyes only on Him and have built a relationship with Jesus the Son and God the Father.

    Justice will come to those who choose to remain religious and righteousness to those who do not.

  • I get the image of a giant iron tank rolling over obstacles, rivers, towns, people. A flood destroying all, regardless of who or what they are. Like vengeance, it is unseeing and uncaring, feeling no remorse or pity. It is an attempt to instill fear in order to control, like many other such verses in the bible.
