illegal immigration and a new perspective....

.i would like to say one more thing. for those of you who do not sypathize with those who cross illegally for any reason..i have this to say to you. if ALL the illegal immigrants are sent back think of how BADLY that would effect our economy...YES I SAID BADLY. who are the ones who harvest our crop? who are the ones who builds our roads? who are the ones who work the blue collar (and lower) jobs that americans do not want to do? it is the immigrants. i give you a personal example. i work at a restaurant as a cook. now if all the Illegals were sent back. we would be left with 3 cooks and a dish washer...they would have to close the doors and go out of business..and IF the business survived..who is to saw we could go on...because we may not have produce to work with. is this doing American people good? how many stores will lose tremendous business and have to close? just think about it... many AMERICANS WILL LOSE THIER JOBS

  • If you take away the iilegal immigrants then the Americans will have no other option then to take up those jobs.

  • who did all of those jobs before illegals were sneaking into the country?....It's taken a long time, a few at a time to reach the population of illegals we have today.
I have no problem with people coming into the country as long as they are doing it legally....that doesn't just go for mexico/south america...that goes for any country in all the other continents in the world!

  • There are tons of Americans without work right now. My dh is a chef and every single person working in the kitchen is legal. My dh would and has worked all those so called "lower" jobs to support our family. He is not to proud to do whatever it takes to support us. I am sure there are quite a few men out there who feel the same.

So, if they all went back there would be more jobs opens for the American Citizen

  • Do you also realize that those people are getting paid less because the employers that employ them can get away with that? They are not being treated fairly coming into this country illegally. They can be fired at any time because they are illegal, they can be turned in at any time because they are illegal...

  • u really think they will work those jobs? they are not for the faint of heart. long hours , vigorous work and not much pay. and if americans stepped up how big of an impact would it have b4 they stepped up? and i also have a suggestion to save money for our school to help with that deficit....DRUG TEST ALL PEOPLE ON PA....that would cut back on alot of people who are abusing it. and would save tax payers more money.

  • yea I think so. My husband works a job that isnt for the faint of heart, very long hours, and its vigorous. He does it and so does thousands of others.

  • i agree with u ANON. but u still have to do everything the right way. thats what we teach our kids right ? not to cheat ? and then what kind of example will we set if we are cheating/lying/stealing ourselves?
u can get work permits .. and thats not illegal. u can also apply for citizenship, although it might not work for everyone but still thats the correct way. im not from USA. although im living here as an immigrant. but not an illeagle one. my DH has a work permit H1 visa aka permission granted by the US government to work in this country. we have even applied for green card. and it has cost a huge chunk of cash. i cannot work as i am on spouse/dependent visa. so no im not working illegally. infact we're surviving hand to mouth and trying to live here as legally as we can. so we can use that saved money in our green card process. there is a right way to do everything and a wrong way.ure destiny is chosen,u choose the path

  • Considering the unemployment rate, I think many Americans would take those jobs.

My DH took a job as an unskilled construction laborer when times were bad and money was needed.

    No reason others would not.

  • and i would lose my job..and i was born and raised that right? and i would like to add can you expect someone trying to get out of poverty to be able to AFFORD to do it the legal way??? if they are poor and have no money to feed their families how int he world are they going to pay for the paper work the visas and so on.....ESPECIALLY since the mexican peso has so much less value than the american dollar. if they cant affor to make ends meet with their own currency in their own are they going to be able to make enough to pay in the US currency? i think that most come hoping once here they can make it right. but soon find out the sad truth that very few are willing to reach out a hand to them in a time of need. then what? they die of starvation? their children go hungry? u are not seeing the whole picture. only what u want to believe...

  • Yes, I do think they would do those jobs...are you kidding...the choice is feed your family, or work in the fields, or build road or whatever job you think Americans wont do. They would get min wage lots of people work for that.

Do you realize that only like 1% of your taxes goes to PA and not only that there are tons of Illegal immigrants on Welfare
