  • The first anon and sabrina said it best. As far as trying to justify it well..... lets just say that seems to go both ways now doesnt it?

I do believe the term "witchcraft" is really misunderstood, todays witches are not the same as what was spoken about in the bible. witches do not call on spirits or demons, matter of fact many witches stay as far away from that as possible. Using herbs to heal my family, welcoming the incoming season, tending to the earth, and trying to live in harmony with nature is NOT evil and is not against god. I wish for once if people are going to try and tell me it is wrong, it would be nice if they did some research about what it is I and many others are actually doing instead of assuming they know what they are talking about.

  • I'll try to answer simply, I am a christian witch. I believe Jesus died to forgive our sins. But I also believe in magic. Energies in everything, herbal medicines, chanting, faeries, etc. I can believe in both, after all Jesus turned water into wine and healed people, even brought some back from the dead.

  • I am NOT a christo-witch... but what i gather is that they use their candles, herbs, etc to essentially make the environment better for spells, which is essentially praying. I'm sure you are piggy backing another question, and here are some link from that about being a christo-pagan.

  • "You can be, but if goes against God's word. "

How? It doesn't at all, if you really know the Bible and what the true translations are.

  • To answer your question if it can be true, the answer is no.

Read how many who practiced sorcery but now believed in Jesus, brought their own scrolls and burned them

    Acts 19:18-20

18Many of those who believed now came and openly confessed their evil deeds. 19A number who had practiced sorcery brought their scrolls together and burned them publicly. When they calculated the value of the scrolls, the total came to fifty thousand drachmas. 20In this way the word of the Lord spread widely and grew in power.

  • I am NOT a Christo Witch, but I am a Witch. Practicing Witchcraft does NOT in any way go against the teachings of the bible. The bible talks about Sorcery and "witches" but the actual words which were used did not refer to what today is called witchcraft, it was (for lack of a better term) Sorcery, or the working of ritual magic, which is not witchcraft. It's the art and practice of calling on spirits (or demons or angels) and forcing them to do your bidding. It's not only dangerous but deadly... Witches never require the help of nor would they order the presence of a spirit/demon/angel... Witches work with the energy which is present in everything and in themselves. If it were wrong to tap in to this energy, it wouldn't be there in the first place.
