  • i believe the iv chelation treatments are valid and helpful, but should be undergone with great care, and research and supervision. i think oral chelations purchased on the internet are not wise to use on children. i knew of a chiropractor that was offering oral chelation as well, i thought he was in over his head.
i have only known of one adult that underwent chelation therapy, and from what she described it seemed just as hard on the body as chemotherapy.
this is why it should be done with great care, imo.

  • Yes it exists, it is the standard treatment for heavy metal poisoning for both children & adults. It is extremely dangerous and should only be done under the direct supervision of a licensed medical doctor, preferably while in a hospital.

There are also some parents of children with autism who believe that their child has been poisoned by heavy metals, either from their vaccinations or from the environment in general, and who seek out practioners who will chelate their children to make them well. Some parents claim it has "cured" their child, but evidence is questionable, b/c then the question becomes, did the child really have autism?

If you google "chelation & autism", you'll get lots of info.

  • People think it cures autism, but doctors say it doesn't and the people offering treatments are just fleecing desperate parents out of their money.

  • Children have died during chelation treatment. Proceed with caution!!
