  • each kid gets $20 and I put $100 into savings - from the $$ we get from the gov't for the kids.

  • Nothing. We spend it to do fun things with the kids.

  • If we can, we put 15% of each check my husband brings home... he is self-employed.

  • We have money taken out that goes towards our 401k. Usually $500 a month. We don't have any going into our regular savings but put money from a mandatory draw investment and our tax refund in that account to cover emergencies. I have an ING savings account that I put $50 a month in just to have another pot for emergencies.

  • Hubby has a 401 K and then we put about $500 a month in to savings.

  • Other than the 401K it depends on the month and what "extra" expenses we have that month - like in December we rarely put in anything, but most months we try to put in at least $500.
