how do you root a cut off of a plant??

  • Put it in soil and pray to God that it will grow roots.

  • depends what kind i have philodendron and i cut off vines and put them in water so start roots. i started of with one small plant and ended up with 6 large ones, all from cutting vines and startin roots

  • and it takes a few weeks for enough roots to grow b4 puttin in soil....most vine plants you can start roots by putting in water just make sure the whole thing isnt in water cause then the plant will turn yellow and die..just only part of it
