Did your toddler ever get diarrhea while teething?

I know doctors debate on whether teething causes diarrhea or fever, but my 19 month old has eight or nine (she's a late teether) teeth all coming in at once and has runny poop today. I'm sure it's just from the teething. She's otherwise fine. Just cranky from teething.

Did your little one have poop changes when teething?

  • Yep, normal. just make sure that she's getting enough fluids and try to push bananas if you can

  • Yep, with every tooth. Any doctor that says otherwise is full of crap. I had a Dr. tell me that teething didn't hurt and wouldn't cause her runny nose...it just happened that every single time she got a tooth she was miserable. What an amazing coincidence!

  • Every time. My daughter would also (every time) throw up once or twice during the night she cut a tooth.

My doctor is also a dad of 8 kids, he said all his kids were sick (at least a small fever) through teething too.

Just do your best to keep your kid hydrated and comforted.

  • Every time with my oldest. It's not fun at all.

  • OK. Huge relief here. Not that my kid has runny diapers, but I was sure I had heard other moms say this. So, thank you everyone, for keeping me from panicking. I cannot wait until these teeth break through. My baby is miserable.
