My soon to be kindergartener will be learning about the Washington Monument, Lincoln Memorial, and the White House during the school year. I thought about taking him on a trip to Washington, D.C. during fall break (October) and visiting these places. He will be 6. Do you think this would be a good idea or should I wait a few more years?

My son would have loved it at that age...but, he also loved "Hamlet" in stage in the Shakespearian language too. He has always been a little eccentric....LOL He got to go in 6th grade and loved it.
