  • Both. God became one of us so that he could teach us how to live. And then he died for is an analogy for you.....In the game of chess, there is a monarchy, and in order to win, you protect the king and sacrifice the pawns. Jesus was a king. And he taught us the opposite. He protected the pawns ( the poor, the marginalized, the "nobodies" ). Then he (the King) sacrificed himself....this was a demonstration of a better way than the way we had been living....unfortunately we as a world, even as a church rarely live the way he taught us to live.

  • Islam teaches that Jesus didn't live for us, he lived for God, who Jesus is not. Jesus never died, but when he comes back and after fulfilling roles he will- just like any other human. Peace be upon Jesus!

  • There is no proof of it, so no.

Answer by IhartU at 8:57 AM on May. 4, 2010

  • Neither - He died FROM us!

Answer by Anonymous at 10:09 AM on May. 4, 2010

  • He is still alive!

But I know what you mean in your question. BOTH also. Just the fact of His conception through a miracle tells us what God is capable of and what loving gift God provided so that we have HOPE. Jesus LIVED perfectly thus making himself so worthy of the ransom and kept his integrity to His Father. While aliv he resurrected people, again proving God's power and Gods promise of our future in paradise. Then he fulfilled the prophesy. Great question!
