Even if it is your fault, will car insurance usually cover a car accident?

The girl in the other car was driving a 1990's car and acted like it was a maserati and so nasty. Please any advice would be appreciated.

  • If you have full coverage then you will have to pay your deductible and the insurance company will pay for the damage/replacement of both cars. They will likely then increase your premiums though.

  • Yes insurance will cover both cars. That's what its for. But your premiums will most likely go up.

  • Don't worry that she thinks it is a Maserati she will get what it costs to repair the car or the blue book value. Not her imaginary value

  • If it is your fault they will pay the Blue Book Value on the other car. Your liability coverage is for the other driver's benefit.

Insurance will only pay for your car (if you are at fault)  if you have Comp and Collision coverage.

  • Are you asking about coverage for the damage to HER car? Yes. That's what insurance is for. If you're asking about damage to YOUR car from the accident, that depends on what you have... liability or full coverage. If you have liability, they will only pay for her car, not yours.
