Help! I need a simple crock pot recipe for beef stew!

I am just a horrible cook, lol. Sad but true.
If any of you have a decent yet simple crock pot recipe for beef stew, I would really appreciate it.
Oh and instead of buying the beef stew meat chunks, would I be able to just cut up a beef roast that I have in the freezer into chunks and use that instead?
Thanks

Just cube everything instead of leaving the roast whole. Reduce the broth by half for a thicker stew.

  • When I've been in a hurry, I've been known to get the pre-prepared stuff from Wal-Mart. It's on the meat wall and it includes the beef roast, potatoes, carrots and seasonings. Just tells you to add water and cook!
