i just had a wonderful idea!!! it is about the immigration laws...

ok so many of us can not agree to dissagree right? soo why cant the people have a vote on it to decide. and if the law is voted in..then we should vote on wheather or not it should allow good standing illegal immigrants a chance to make it right, pay a fine. whatever. if the people vote...then everyone can stop fighting because it would be the people who have decided not the government....what do you think?

  • Well because majority doesn't rule in this country. We are a Democratic Republic; not a Democracy.

  • OP here....it would have to be done in sections to decide the specifics of the bill....if the law passes or not....how it would be carried out...how it would be funded to be carried out.....who are exempt from the law....ect.....

  • It would be a great idea because we know from the polls already that the "people" are against illegals. Unfortunately we can't jst give regular people all that power. We are just not smart enough to know whats best. Facts are it will never happen as a total vote. The Dems want these people here because they have a good chance of making them citizens and getting their votes. Good try though, just don't look for it to happen.

  • How about if the government just enforced the laws we already have on the books.

That's the best idea I have heard YET! Good one Carpy! I think I would really like to see laws already on the books enforced.

  • Yes, Steph because illegal immigration only became an issue in the last 18 months. Only the Dems have turned their backs. LMAO
