Do you still use baby jars for your 2 year old?

ruit is out of season. When fruit is not on sale baby jars are good alternative. Our favorites are pears, apples, and mango baby food jars.

  • No - we just use whatever fruit is in season - we buy it at a local farmers market. That way we know he has a well rounded diet and gets used to a wide variety of fruits!

  • No, we stopped using jar baby foods when they were 10/11 months old. If we cannot find fresh in season fruits and vegetable then we buy frozen.

  • My son refused that crap at 6 months. He ate real food by 2. And I mean whatever I ate. Like real Apples, bananas, oranges, grapes....whatever was at the grocery store. Even canned packed in it's own juice. My son ate baby food from jars his fifth month. After that, he refused another bite of the stuff.

  • Nope, once my kids were that age they would not touch baby/toddler foods they wanted the 'adult' table foods. I would give them either real fresh fruit, canned fruit or applesauce. For fresh fruit I made sure to cut it up into bite-size pieces and sometimes I served it with fun dips.

  • I usually find apples & bananas are usually on sale (one or the other)...we also get unsweetened applesauce in jars or other canned fruits w/out added sugar. My youngest is 3..I cant remember the last time I bought a jar of baby food..she was probably less then a year old though. She's been eating regular food with the rest of us for a long time now.
