  • This is a stupid question. Cinco de Mayo has been turned into an American holiday to drink margaritas. It's hardly a day of celebration in Mexico... more like flag day. It's on the calendar but nothing comes about it.

  • Hello????? Americans didn't start Cinco de Mayo, it was started in Puebla to celibrate the defeat of the French forces. We have only taken it on as a way to recognize Americans who have Mexican heritage.

  • They do NOT celebrate Cinco De Mayo in Mexico who told you that lie? Anyways I don't see why Americans decided to celebrate this holiday here in the states, I mean it's not Mexican Independence day.
