When should I take turkey out of freezer?

I want to make a turkey for mother's day. I have one frozen in my freezer. Not sure when I should take it out so it's thawed in time.

  • I usually take mine out 3 days before I need to use it. I keep it in the sink in cold water with a cold wet rag on top and I change the water several times a day.

  • I take mine out 3-4 days before I am going to cook it and put in the fridge.

  • Thanks ladies. I was going to take it out tomorrow (Thursday) and put it in the fridge but wasn't sure if that was enough time. :)
