Is $25.00 per day/per child for an at home babysitter too much?

What if they are siblings? Should there be a discount?

  • that is a common rate in northeast ohio --- most charge between 20-30 per day per kid, yes siblings get discounts of some degree but you have to be fair to yourself. dont make the discount too much!

  • I watch two kids for only twenty a day. I think $25 for one kid is ok. But I only pay $17 for my son. Depends on where you live.

  • I pay $25/day for 1 child in my home but I usually hire a teenager. I think you should get a discount on siblings.

  • I pay $250 per week full time in home daycare ($50 per day). That is one child. That is in NY though, I think prices are higher here.

  • I live in Austin, Texas and pay $30 a day for one child to go to the woman's home (so $150 a week), no mention of a discount when siblings come along, but you can bet I'm gonna ask for one :) She watches two other kids as well.
