If a pop-aholic were to switch to drinking caffeine free pop but still drank the same amount, would they lose a little bit of weight?

  • No. The caffeine in pop is not what causes people to gain weight. It is the calories and the sugar. To possibly see a difference in your weight, you should switch to diet.

  • Yes that would work too. The Zero means no calories. Everyone thinks it means no caffeine but its not. Also, Diet Dr. Pepper tastes exactly like regular if thats what your worried about.

  • the zero stuff doesn't have calories but the artificial sweeteners are so bad for you.

  • That's not necessarily true anon:20. They have stopped using those "bad" sweeteners in the majority of pop products now.

  • I'm on Weight Watchers and diet pop has zero points. Which means you can drink as much of it as you want. I'm a big pop drinker myself and I've not had any problem switching to diet. At first I thought it tasted a little watery but you get used to it real fast. And I've lost 13 lbs in 4 weeks...but that is with changing my food diet as well.
