baby has severe reflux and is on scheduled measured feedings. no more the 3oz and or 3 hours at a time. I feel like he is starving and so does he. yesterday dr said i can give him 1 TBSP rice cereal at feedings to help feel him up. is this really ok? he seems to young and all he has ever had is breast milk. what should i do?? sorry for spelling errors NAKAnswer Question

For an EBF baby, not a good idea. There are other, better ways of treating reflux than opening his tummy up to the potential for more tummy problems. On top of that, BM sort of digests cereal so it doesn't work the way it would if mixed with formula. Plus, some babies (like mine) get constipated by it. Look into joining one of the breastfeeding groups on here- they can help you out without the rice cereal. Also check out http://www.kellymom.com/babyconcerns/reflux.html
