what is natural family planning mean? Do you use protection?

  • it means that each day you chart your basal body temp, your cervical position, and cervical mucous to tell you when you are fertile and when you have ovulated. During the optimal days (most fertile) we use a condom. if we were to want a baby, we would choose those days to have sex like crazy to up the chances of conception. you don't use hormones and rely on your body to tell you when you are fertile rather than test kits.

  • we used protection until we decided we wanted to have a baby. So now we are not. I will always use some form of protection unless i know i want a baby.
