  • I'm in the same boat as you guys. I used to be so content until we moved closer to my inlaws and now my husband is turning into an apathetic, self-absorbed, chauvinistic asswipe just like his daddy. His new favorite phrases are, 'because I can' and 'that's how it's gonna be, deal with it'.

OP, I'm very glad for you.

  • I am wonderfully happy with the relationship and marriage i am in.
but i am not happy with my overall life. But that has to do with things entirely unrelated to my husband.

  • i'm happy with my BF, although i hope things get better.. like we move in together, get married, have kids, etc.. lol but for now- i'm happy with the position we are at.

but with my life, in general- no, i'm not. i'm depressed, got severe anxiety, i have self esteem problems. i'm working on it tho- and i realized for my entire life, i've always looked at the negatives, never the positives... so the old me would get depressed b/c of the issues i just stated (depression, anxiety, plus being fat, etc)... but the new me is saying "awesome job on getting the help that you need/deserve!"

  • Not really. My husband doesn't tell me I'm pretty anymore and the last fight we got into I said that I just don't matter to him and he said that he cares deeply for me...wtf. I care deeply for animals and the earth, I LOVE him. If he could make me feel pretty somtimes I think it would be different....but half the time I think he only likes me when hes horny.

  • I am honestly happy. There are things that are not so great (we have not got enough money, live too far away from our family, are stationed in a place we don't like, etc) but I have a wonderful loving husband who is one of the most honest men I have ever met, he tells me every day even after 14 years of marriage how attractive he still finds me even when I was 60 lbs heavier, my kids are wonderful kids (don't get me wrong they have their moments lol but overall good kids), DH has job security, we have a place to live, and we have all the love we could ever need. Yep, I'll do without material things as long as I have those things!
