  • You should stop. The 5 year old won't have naptime in school. She should get used to it now.

  • My 5 year olds had "rest time" in kindergarten, and I had mine all continue until they went to kindergarten.

  • No it matters on the kid. Some kids still need it. See if your kids can function. Then yes start lowering the amount of time napping. However, if your child is a big grump then they need to still have a nap. My youngest is almost 3 and she quit taking naps when she was 1. She just did not have to have them all the time. If we have a wild day then she naps in the car but she will not go down at the house unless she is sick!!

  • They don't sleep and my 5 yr old will only be going half day to school. I make them lay down but they don't sleep so I'm kind of like what's thet point. I'm not sure just wanted ur thoughts thanks!

  • I always let my son decide when/where he would nap instead of laying him down at a certain time. He stopped on his own at 4.

  • DD napped into kindergarten. She'd crash and burn after her half day mornings. My son stopped napping before he turned 2. It really just depends on the kid. I didn't make them lay down if they weren't tired. That would just make for a more frustrating bed time.
