relocating... so how long does it usually take to find a house after gettin a job?

and do new employers allow time to move?
if so on average how long?

  • It all depends on what you are looking for, what the market is like in your area and what the moving agreement is with your new job contract. Some will help with closing costs but only if you are coming from having already been a home owner.

    I've known people that have found their house with in the 1st day of looking. The house we are in now, we started looking for houses in late May/early June and found our house in Mid July. Our Realtor that we HAD to use, per the relocation company, just wouldn't listen to our needs and wants.

  • im not talking about buying, im going to rent first then after being there x amount of time then ill going to be looking for a job in another state once school gets out and i wanna get a feel for what im in for

  • A lot depends on your finding a job first, I'd think. Then you can worry about the are much harder to come by than an apartment or house to rent.
