Holy Trinity Church.

Would you like a tour?
The oldest part of the church dates from as early as 1210. It is also the final resting place of William Shakespeare.

  • I'm jealous. I spend a lot of time squinting at English churches in Google street view trying to catch a glimpse of names in the cemeteries, and the architecture...even in the little out of the way ones. I'd much rather be there in person. Being there and feeling the air is so much better than looking at pieces of paper. I have a list of about a dozen different ones to visit on the "someday" list.

  • looks peaceful..i love looking at old churches, architecture..the beauty of the 'old' puts today's modern structures to shame. however, that said, for future generations, they do tell a story of what was 'in' or available/affordable to the past..that is if the multi-purpose/metal buildings a lot of churches/schools/etc use today stand up to time..i kinda doubt they will.
