Do you agree with the use of prone restraint in schools? Dr. Phil show about autism.

A friend called me just now. She said that the show had surveillance camera that captured a mute autistic child being dragged out of a classroom and placed in a dark room.
Anyone know anything about this episode. I missed this show.

  • I did not see that episode, but, at least in my state, there are laws against such abuse.

  • I didn't see the show, so I have no idea about that specific incident. But it is not illegal for students to be restrained by teachers and administrators who ave special training. Unfortunately, more often than people realize, restraint is needed for the safety of the student, teachers, and classmates.
