  • he defalted the crown by getting divorced, but he still has ceremonial garb and such

  • Well first it is a Throne - a large ceremonial chair to sit in not a Thrown - tossed. And he did not default the crown by getting divorced. Charles is to ascend to the throne upon the death of his mother. He has both a Throne and Crown that are both currently attributed to his title as Prince of Wales. Camella Parker-Bowles can become queen as she would be married to the King. And any woman married to the King becomes a Queen, but not any man married to the Queen becomes King. P-B will instead become a Princess Consort.

  • Um no.  The monarch has the throne, Charles is not the monarch.  Traditionally he could not ascend to the throne because he is divorced and he has now married a divorcee.  However in these modern times I'm not sure if he will or not.   Also traditionally, his wife would become Queen until his death.

  • A King ranks higher than a Queen therefore when the rightful heir to the throne is a Queen her husband cannot become King and out rank her as in Queen Elizabeth and Prince Phillip.

  • so there is a prince throne. Does he sit in it?

  • I think all of England is hoping that the Queen out lives her idiot son and that Prince William ascends to the throne.

  • Elizabeth has said in the past that she will not abdicate until she feels that there is someone suitable waiting to take her place. I think she's hoping to outlive Charles and let William take her place. I think he's the best option frankly. Charles is just useless and Harry is too much of a playboy right now but William seems to have his head on straight. He's shown he's capable of thinking for himself by choosing to go to a good university instead of being shuttled off to Oxbridge and he has shown great discretion in his dating life too.
