How much formula does your baby eat?

My son is 7 weeks old and he weighs 13.5 pounds. We've been feeding him 4 oz. during the day, but lately it seems like he is still hungry. I just gave him 5 oz. and he finally seems satisfied. Is this normal or is 5 oz. too much for a 7 week old?

  • i have a shart that says that from 1 to 2months the baby needs 4 oz. but it all depends on ur baby s needs.those sharts are only an average.u feed him on demand.my son used to have 5 oz during the day but now he seems satisfied with 4oz or even 3. i m breastfeeding to so it should be that.

  • It also will depend on your child's weight at birth. Larger babies need more food sooner than smaller babies. I can't remember when my daughter ate what and when...but I do know she was a large baby and typically ate slightly more than others in her age group.
