Vaccination Schedule question

DD had her 4 month shots on 20th of April. I called to schedule her 5 month appt. and they can't get her in until July 1st. Will it be ok to wait that long between the shots? I'm not sure what the time limits on them are or anything.

  • I agree with Amanda. My son always went to the doctor every 2 months...not every month.

  • Shot schedules are guidelines. They aren't written in stone. And 5mos appointment. I know it has been 13 yrs since I had an infant, but I know I didn't go every month.

  • Depending on the needs of the child and the schedule set up by individual states as guidelines, your LO will be fine. Usually there are not shots at a 5 month appt, but my own pedi did not give all 2-4-6 months shots, they gave some at 2-4-6, others at 3-6-9 months, still drives me crazy now as I try to decide if a child can start daycare according to our state regulations.

  • It is fine. As mentioned, they are guidelines. I also do not remember shots at 5 mo.
