How long after you stop breastfeeding before the milk drys up?

Ok Hear's the deal, i breastfed my liitle girl till she was 9 to 10 months old, but my breastmilk still has not dryed up...and it still leaks out when she crys.. do anybody no how much longer i have to deal with this?

  • I stopped leaking when they cried 3 or 4 months after I stopped but I could sqeeze milk out of my nipple 10 months after I stopped.

  • wow, with my second I stopped breastfeeding at 15 months and I remember I still had milk at his second birthday but nothing like what yo are talking about. I know some people just take longer to dry up than others.

  • It is different for every moms - - some moms have milk for over a year, some lose it much sooner. Both are normal. You can try wearing cold cabbage leaves in your bra to help it dry up.
