  • It will just depend on your doctor, really... My DD (2) has had NO vaccinations, and will not get any. My doctor still likes to see her for checkups though, so we went at 1 month, 3 months, 6 months, 1 year, 18 months, & 2 years for well-baby visits. Some doctors like seeing kids on the immunization schedule for checkups, and others just want to see them if they get sick or once a year.
As for being sick, she has only been to the doctor once- when she got RSV when she was 10 months old.

  • Uh...My son isn't vaccinated and he's seen the doctor maybe five times in his life. He's 2 1/2. If he's not sick there's no reason for him to go to the doctor.

  • My dd's been on an alternative schedule since birth, she just turned a yr & we went 9 or 10 times. We end up going more bc they aren't getting as many shots @ the same time.

  • My son had Acellular Diphtheria, Tetanus, Pertussis, vaccine; the Polio one, the Haemophilus influenzae B (HIB) vaccine, and the Pneumococcal vaccine. Only 5 shots in 2 years.

  • My DD has had no shots and has been to the doctor 2 times since birth and shes 7 months old. I don't see the point if shes not sick. Shes had 2 colds and I still didn't take her. I don't need someone to tell me how much she weighs for $120.

  • besides well baby visit which I am a strong believer in (my daughter had a few little issues and they would have not been caught if it had not been for the well baby visits. Not medical, just physical) she has been the doctor twice in her 14 months of life. 1 time for reflux issues and 1 time because she had RSV. She has only been sick one time. She is vaccinated on schedule.

  • We had more; we vaxed on a selective/delayed schedule and did one vax per office visit. Though at 14, my daughter has only been to doctor when she was sick three times.

  • We are on a selective and some delayed schedule. My son sees the doctors more than other children his age though. he has 6 specialists and regularly sees his pediatrician or specilist at least once a month but usually more. I don't think any vaccines he has or hasn't received have anything to do with this. He was premature.
