  • My daugther said kittycat at like 8 months....but she was whispering it so she could have said it long before that....

  • my daughter was 5 going on 6 months she said mama but I also signed to her which was a great help. There is a DVD called my first signs by "Baby Einstein".

  • My son said kitty like at 9 months. But didn't really say any other words until recently. He's 20 months and in the last 2 weeks he has said about 20 new words.

  • 5 months, my dd propped herself up in her crib, pointed, and said "what's that" while i was in the room with her doing some photo editing on my laptop. she really is brilliant.

  • I took twins to the dr at 9 months and he said that babies will say stuff at that age or younger but don't really know what they are saying really. One of my girls is 10 months and she keeps saying "Baby" but it doesn't appear that she knows what a baby is so I doubt this is her first real word. She's just copying us since we have 2 babies and are aways saying "Baby" around them.
