(I'm pregnant) Is it okay to eat cooked foods that use alochol as an ingredient.

I made a homemade bread pudding for dessert tonight, and the sauce that goes on top of it calls for brandy,is that safe to eat when pregnant?

  • Yeah, the alcohol content actually cooks away. There is no risk there... Eat away!

  • As long as it is cooked it should be fine. Even if it isn't cooked a small drink is ok. Just don't over do it. Cooking tends to burn out most of the alcohol anyway if I remember correctly.

  • The amount of alcohol that remains after cooking is almost non-existent. It's fine. Enjoy!

  • If its okay to have a glass of wine every now and then when your pregnant...then thats fine
