Does your similac formula seperate???

aalright so i feed my twins similac sensitive, and about once a day, a bottle will seperate and the formula gets all chunky at the top and all the water basically goes to the bottom!

i dont leave them out too long
i was their bottles really well
and it is sometimes brand new mixed formula

whats going on!??!

  • i use the ready made bottles that you just open and pour in to your bottle, so i dont have to worry about that.

  • how cold is the water? cause (weird to compare to) when you put hot cocoa mix in cold water, and you stir it really good, the powder is still at the top...try warming the water more, but make sure its not too warm by testing it on the inside of your wrist.

  • usually I mix it in a pitcher, tuberware thing ( it has a lid ) since I have twins, its much easier to keep about 48oz in the fridge. and I use pretty warm water, because then I can pour two bottles right away :/
    but thanks, maybe i will try hot water and just wait for it to cool down before i give it to them and see if that works better

  • well they say dont keep mixed formula in the fridge for over two hours...or even out....is it powder formula?

  • try mixing it up with a butterknife, that's what i do :)

  • I have never seen that happen..I use room temp water and shake it let it sit and then stir just in case. If not mixed all the way your baby wont poop for a while...
