How do you solve the nap issue while in a car seat

my daughter just upgraded to a big kid booster seat with the back on but she still trys to nap how can i help her so that she is more comfortable and her head isn't bobbing around as much???

  • get a head rest for her, that way when she sleeps her head wont turn and fall odd ways, it will keep her head snug. theres not really alot you can do with that kind of car seat...

  • I got my dd one of those neck pillows so her head would be more stable i just put it around her neck once she falls asleep

  • How old, how big is your child? A child should not be in a booster seat until they are able to sit up the entire ride. Even while asleep. If your child is slumping, he/she would be seriously hurt in an accident. Check out the car seat safety group here on CM for more information. Remember 4 years and 40lbs. is the MINIMUM recommended age for a booster, most things we don't do just the minimum of to keep our children safe. Keep your baby in a 5 point harness for the maximum amount of time and keep her/him safer. A bit more booster safety info.

    If your child is over the weight/height limit for all 5 point harnessed seats and wants to sleep more comfortably then one of the neck pillows would work well. HTH
