Cake Help Please...

Okay I am making a wedding cake for my sister in law and I am making a 3 tier cake and i am adding cake dragees. I am gonna make diamonds shapes all along the side and inbetween the middle of the diamonds. How do I go about make the diamond shapes around? Is there a special technique to do that or a special tool?

  • I'm not sure how you are planning on using the cake dragees, but the easiest way to make the diamonds on the side of the cake would be to find a diamond shape the right size or make one. Press it in the sides of the cake and then go over it with icing. Wilton used to make shapes you could use but I don't know if they still do. A cookie cutter might work just fine. Good luck with the cake.
