Has anyone ever tried losing weight on a high fiber diet?

I have tried low carb, low fat, and low calorie.... they all work but I cant seem to stay on them and I gain even more back. I have been looking into high fiber and most of the foods are healthy, whole grain, fruits, and just smart eating. I am in my mid 40's and too much fiber is not an issue. I was browsing some of the high fiber foods and they even have chocolatey fiber bars from Kelloggs. I think this way of eating would be simple BUT does it work?

  • A long time ago my paretns went on a high fiber diet. It was when that book "8 week cholesterol cure" was out. They made everything with oatbran (yummy apple muffins) and they lost tons of weight.
