Are photographs uploaded on the internet public domain and free for use?

  • yes anyone can get them and use them for their own purpose whick is why pofessionals have a watermark or signature (or whatever you call it) over their pics so people don't use them.

  • If you find something that you want to use - your best bet is to find the source and ask permission to use their image.

  • Not to print. Just to copy/paste. And not copyrighted image. And image, say, on facebook.

  • No, you can't take it without citing where it came from or asking whoever owns it. You can, however, post a link to it. But, if the person finds you took the picture/video, etc, and decides to tell you to remove it, you must do so, or you could be facing court and charges.

  • The image belongs to the person that originally posted it online. You STILL need to find the original owner and ask permission - especially for copy/paste.
