Flat spot at 22 months

I noticed yesterday that my son still has a slightly flat spot on the back of his head. Is this still normal at 22 months?

  • You need to go see a pediatric orthotist,, the flat spot should have been gone by now,, DH is an orthotist,, and they can evaluate your kiddo to get his head shaped okay,,Call your doc for a referral,,you do need to get it checked,, when I saw your question,, called hubby to be sure! Good luck!

  • Ive seen kids older than that with flat spots. If it bothers you call your doctor.

  • Flat spots on the back of baby's heads were not something you saw until they started saying you should lay your baby on their back not their tummy ....It is not normal and should be checked, many children get a special helmet that helps to properly shape their skull while there is still time before the bones completely fuse together. you should have the referral the other moms mentioned.
