Which one is worse for you?

Tooth pain or birth pain?

For me, tooth pain. I had 2 births and even though lasted 12 and 24 hours, the tooth pains I endured in my life lasted longer and were more intense (plus there is no break until it gets fixed).

  • So, if tooth pain is worse and I bet most of us experienced it at least once, how come so many women are getting an epidural? Even the second time?

  • I gotta say that the pain I had with induced labor was way worse than anything else, ever.

  • Because women don't understand or just don't care about the effect epidurals can have on their newborns.

I'd much rather go through childbirth-not because it hurts less (I felt my c-section) but because at least at the end I have something to show for it.

  • How come so many women get an epidural? Same reason we get Novocain when we get our teeth worked on.

  • I haven't personally experienced anything so dentally painful as my labor was (knock on wood), but I've heard other women say they have.

For me, my "more-painful-than-labor" experience was a kidney stone.
