  • It happened before the law, and it will continue to happen until parents step and teach their kids respect.... We have military friends who have repeatedly kept their kids home from school in Hawaii because of Kill Haole Day, where white kids are harrased and picked on because they are white and not of Polynesian decent....

Bullying has been thrust again into national
headlines with the suicide of a 15-year-old
Massachusetts girl after months of threats
    and harassment.

Local experts say the tragedy validates
efforts to give parents and teachers tools to
    protect students.

"It's a mind-set and philosophy. Most of the
time, (bullies) won't stop unless an adult
steps in," Buckeye Elementary School District
counselor Sherry Saylor said. "It is
something that we need to be on top of."

  • Could some Latino's start bullying others as well? Absolutely,in fact it is already happening and sometimes all one has to do is carry an American flag.Things like this have been happening here and there though for years but I suspect it will get worse and president Obama has been of no help..actually I think he has helped INCITE the issue. Please stop being so one sided OP..

  • Do you mean... will American kids still allowed to be patriotic to the United States on a Mexican Holiday?

  • I'm clueless here. You don't need a bill to bully and it wouldn't change a thing for anyone no matter what what their nationality.

  • Why? When legislation passed and was signed did that mean that schools could just throw out their bully policies? I am sure anyone has the ability to bully another, but schools have specific policies in place to disallow bullying. If they aren't enforcing their own policies then that's an issue to take up with the school, not the state law.
