  • I colored my fondant, so I prepped it the day before and put it into plastic baggies.

  • I like to make it when i need it, even if i have to color it. I just like working with it better when it's fresh. It's kind of a pain in the butt when i dont have much time and have a huge cake to get out, but i still make it fresh when i can.

  • The day before. It gets better after a day. You are suppose to let it rest a minimun of an hour anyway.

  • i have only made it once, and i used it the day i made it. i have read that color deepens if you make it ahead.

  • I have made it ahead, up to a week and color it then and keep it sealed tightly in the fridge. The last cake I made with fondant I made it the day of and I had a harder time working with it and the colors didn't seem as deep.

  • I make my cakes the day before and wratp them so I can do the fondant on the day I need it. (Sorry probably not helping you too much.)
