Numeg and warm milk?

Would it be okay for me to try this on my two year old to help her sleep?

  • Uh, nutmeg, when given in high doses, has effects similar to narcotics.

If you're using the nutmeg as a spice to make the milk taste comforting and yummy that's fine. But don't give her teaspoons of it, you'll get her high lol.

  • What's the purpose of it, exactly?

I'd say you'd be fine, assuming you know she's not allergic to nutmeg.

  • If it helps, I don't see why not. Lots of people drink warm milk as a sleep aid and nutmeg isn't anything but a spice...it can't hurt her.
