2 year old bleeding gums

My Daughter has been sick with a fever since last wednesday. her fever is up and down, and she hasnt ate much if anything since last week. She fell yesturday and when she did her mouth started bleeding, it wasnt much and she has no bite marks or anything in her mouth. Tonight while i was brushing her teeth, her bottom teeth and gums where fine, but when i started the top, she started freaking out ad crying, then her gums and roof of her mouth start gushing blood, it didnt take long for it to stop but i am FREAKING out, her gums have been red the past few days but havent thought much about it. PLEASE HELP!

  • It could be a slight amount of dehydration which can dry out the lining of the mouth. As long as it has quit bleeing, i would call the doctor in the morning to see what they suggest. if it hasn't stopped, can you call the doc that is on call? too much blood in the tummy can upset and make her sick which wouldn't be good since she isn't feeling well already.
