Different suggestions for storing breastmilk, which is right?

I have a leaflet that says 6 days in the fridge (below 5 degrees) from the midwife, a book that says 4, and bounty says 24hrs in the fridge if the temp is 6 or above - and the leaflet says it can be stored for 3 days at this temp! For how long can breastmilk be stored safely in the fridge?

  • I stored mine in the fridge for a week & it was fine. Fridge changes temps alot bc of the constant opening & closing. Put it in the back, use other items in front to help insulate it, try to limit the times the fridge gets opened. I have no idea what the temp is in my fridge.
